Starting with organic beetroots grown right here in the USA, we use a freeze-drying process to lock in the maximum amount of nutrition from the whole root and grind it into a powder. With zero additives, our beet powder offers quality you can see, taste, and smell.

When evaluating the quality of a beet powder, the color is the best indicator. The fresher the powder, the more deep and vibrant in color it should be. Dull or dark red hues, like those found in air-dried powders, suggest the betalains (the pigment that makes beets red) have been broken down or diluted with fillers. Our freeze-drying method preserves the nutrients from the fresh beet.

Beets have an earthy taste and smell, naturally containing 40-50% sugar, so a quality powder should have a sweet undertone. If the powder lacks the distinctive beet taste, it may have been diluted with fillers.

At KOYAH, we believe in using whole fruits and vegetables, so our powder is made from entire freeze-dried beets, including the skin. This differs from beet juice powders, which have the fiber removed.

When evaluating a beet powder, it's important to consider where and how the beets were grown. Our organic beets are grown on USA farms using sustainable practices, ensuring they are free from heavy metal contaminants that can be a concern with products from certain regions.

Each scoop of our beet powder is equivalent to 1/2 of a fresh organic beet root, providing 5.3 g of powder. A single jar contains the freeze-dried powder of 15 fresh organic beets, totaling 160 g.
